So, after some more days I finally got over the Jet lag ... and my aunt/her husband and me could start with some more walks around in the area.
Most of the trails are still really wet but luckily we had great weather on the longer walk around a trail on the west coast in the park of Sooke. The West Coast looks fantastic, it is rough and beautiful. Many trees are formed by the wind.
There was some wildlife around the area, I have seen some otters going around right in front of the house, I have already seen three eagles (but I couldn't manage to take a pic of them) and some seals in a bigger distance.
Biggest catch is after a short run with my bike through the forest ... a black bear! Only 100 meters away from me he was just standing on a rock and started watching at me! All day long I was expecting some bear right beside me in the forest, but not at that moment! Unhappily I have no picture of him. He was really big ... but walked away after a few seconds! Luckily ...
