So, my test drive ended quite bad in the evening of the first day. The day itself was really nice, sunny and warm, beautiful weather and a nice view. After an exhausting 64km trip from Sooke to Port Renfrew with lots of going up and down, I noticed a deformed axis on my rear wheel. I probably had to much weight on the trailer. I still could drive, but I should stop my test drive (it was meant to be a four day test drive) and decided to go back to Sooke. That means, I had to ride up that really long and steep hill nearby Port Renfrew and many more small hills on my way back. I knew how hard it was to get from Sooke to Port Renfrew, so it was quite demoralized .
In the morning on the next day a small part of my tooth broke up … defeated by crunchy cereal. At that moment my mood was not very well … I made a phone call to my aunt, to tell her the changes of my plan. We tried to meet at mid point of my way back for a pickup.

Now I am back in Sooke, I changed my plans, lighten up my stuff, everything unnecessary got thrown out. My plan was to go on one big trip around Canada, but now I changed my mind. Its probably better to do it in smaller trips. My first trip will be to Strathcona Provincial Park in the middle of Vancouver Island and back to Sooke on the coast road. After that I will do a trip to the mainland, there is a nice bike trail called Trans Canada Trail. I will drive along that trail to a certain point, I don't know jet, how far I will go.
I won't be able to go as far as I wanted to the east of British Columbia. I will see, what I can do about that later, maybe I can rent a car for a short time. The bike trailer I have here is not as big as the one I have in Germany, so I just should make the best out of it.
Now I will prepare to go to Tofino with my aunt, after that I will be dropped at Qualicum to start my trip to Strathcona.Test Drive Result: Deformed axis and broken tooth :-
