Still waiting for my VISA-Card ... waiting now for nearly two weeks for a letter from Germany .. ok, Easter was that weekend ... but holly smokes ... come on! I want to start my journey here!!!

I was on one more hike in Sooke Hills, this time there was some rain(until we came back to the cars ..), but it was still a nice walk. Some rare flowers, clues from a bear and some chocolate where found on that trip.
While waiting for the VISA-card I did some more trips like a little hike on the Juan de Fuca Trail nearby. And I did some trips with my bike, need to train my muscels. But I have in my rear and in the spare tube some little leaks, to small to find, but big enough to flatten my tire till the next day. I started thinking about buying another spare tube. On the next bike ride I got again a flat tire ... this time there have been six big leaks in the tube. Now I have no more stuff left in my repair kit left, and I need to buy a new tube ... better now then on my journey far away from any support/shop. I was really surprised, when I saw the prices of bike parts here. No matter if it is online or in small shops, prices are really high here. Amazingly it is cheaper to buy stuff in germany and let it send to Canada ...
Thats all I can report, I am still at my aunts home, waiting ...
I ordered a bike trailer online, it will arrive at the 14.4..
For my journey I discovered a nice app for offline navigation. The name is "3D Maps" and it is only available for IPhone/IPad. Luckily I have a IPad from my work, so I could use it there. But I am still thinking about buying a new smartphone. My four year old always overstrained little Wildfire won't be enough. So I need to buy that too ... lot of stuff to buy!!!

So, next report soon, my paper map has many little notes with interesting areas on it...
